  1. Introduction:
    1. Icebreaker or Game
    2. Intro Video/Sermon Recap. (If the video doesn’t work you can do your own brief summary the same way.)
  2. Read & Discussion Questions:
    1. John 7:25-39
      1. As we’ve gone through John, Jesus has constantly spoken of a living water that those who believe in him will receive. This living water will never run dry and will forever satisfy. What does the author, John tells us this living water is in verse 39?
    2. Read Acts 2:38-39
      1. When and how do we receive the Holy Spirit?
    3. The sermon focused on how we can lean into the Holy Spirit in our lives to experience God’s presence. What were the three ways Calvin said we can lean into the Holy Spirit? (1. Consistent Christian Community; 2. Communal Worship; 3. Serving with & in Church)
      1. All of these ways are built around the Church body. In Matthew 18:20, Jesus says, “For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” Though we can experience God and the Holy Spirit as individuals, God’s presence is most powerfully present when Christians are gathered together. / Why do you think that is?
      2. Only 25% of Christians go to Church 3 times or more out of 8 weeks. How do you think that affects many believers ability to experience God?
      3. Calvin said, “We want to experience God, yet we refuse to use the venues he has most predominantly chosen to reveal himself to us. Or if we do use them, we use them very inconsistently and half-heartedly…” How are people trying to search for God on their own apart from the Church, which is established by his presence?
      4. How is Holy Spirit experienced in communal worship? (If we consistently miss communal worship, we are missing our highest calling and eternal purpose)
      5. The third point was that we lean into the Holy Spirit by using our gifts and talents to serve in the Church body. What are your gifts and talents and how can you use them to serve with and in Church? (If you need reference verses, read 1 For 12:7-27)
    4. What will you do differently based on the sermon and our discussion?
